Quality the key at WBA

Western Breeders Alliance has catalogued 32 lots for the Perth Magic Millions Sale and that’s the most of any vendor heading to the Swan Valley.

The quality is also evident with WBA partners Brent Atwell (Darling View), Phil Ibbotson (Westbury Park) and Wayne Beynon (Einoncliff Park) all playing winning hands when it has counted over the last twelve months.

Last year’s Magic Millions Raceday at Pinjarra proved a perfect segue into the Yearling Sale where their across-the-board figures saw a Top 3 return for turnover ($1.42 million) off an average of $54,885.

Why Choose Her (Choisir) claimed the first-leg of a WBA treble at Pinjarra with a long-neck victory over fellow WBA graduate Chix Pic (Patronize) in the inaugural Ducimus Silver Bowl (1200m).  Beynon bred and sold her for $40,000 at the 2017 Perth Magic Millions.

Cryptic Wonder (My Admiration) chimed in with a black-type victory in the RL Magic Millions 3YO Trophy (1200m) for a large syndicate managed by Elio Galante.  Fellow WBA partner and Pinjarra Race Club Chairman Phil Ibbotson bred and sold him for $30,000 at the 2018 Perth Yearling Sale.

Solid Azza (Patronize) completed a day to remember with a last-to-first victory in the TABtouch Hcp (1200m).  She is a Darling View Thoroughbreds homebred for the Atwells  – Clive, Trish & Kasey (pictured) and Brent.

Fast-forward from February to December and they celebrated once again after Solid Azza won the inaugural $100,000 TBWA Black Diamond (1200m) at Ascot.
