Queen Of Choice powers home for Patronize

Patronize mare Queen Of Choice has been spelled after a powerful win at Belmont and she could have quite easily gone out with an unbeaten record for trainer David Harrison.

Queen Of Choice began her career winning a Pinjarra maiden on July 16 and she looked a good thing beaten second-up at Belmont before blitzing her rivals in the Young Membership Hcp (1200m) on Wednesday.

She stoked up and showed a good turn of foot to win,” Harrison said.  “She should have won second-up and she hit the line hard today.

She’s a versatile mare and we will turn her out now – she’s done enough this time in.  She will tell us her best trip in due course but I’m pretty sure she will get further than 1200 metres later this season.”

Harrison has built up a top strike-rate with Patronize who stands at Darling View Thoroughbreds in Mundijong.  This year’s G2 Karrakatta Place runner-up Mystic Maid is an exciting prospect and Harrison’s stables are also home to Patronize winners Jestpatim, Jest Envy Her, Terrorize and Jester Derriere.
